Lloyd was the first in his family to receive a high school education, and he worked evenings at a small drywalling business to pay his tuition for high school. At age 18, he purchased that drywalling business for $1,000. Over 25 years, he grew that business to be a regional leader in construction and employ over 150 people. Lloyd Smucker achieved the American Dream through hard work and individual responsibility.
